Here is my uncle, Reginald Lloyd Jones in his Police Uniform. He is standing in the garden at the Post Office, Knightwick, Worcestershire. View his Police Service Records

  Doris (Holland) Jones

This is my mother Doris Eliza Jones (later married to my father John Edward Holland).

She is sitting in a chair outside her brother's (Reginald Lloyd Jones) house, in Hall Green, Birmingham. Mum had dressed up in her brothers police uniform.

  Doris Hayward

This is Doris Winifred Hayward, standing outside 62 Scribers lane, Hall Green, Birmingham. Her mother Fanny May (Jones) Hayward was John William Jones's sister and his son Reginald Lloyd Jones was Doris's cousin. Reg lived here with his wife Gwendoline Nellie Coles and their family.

It is probably worth reminding any one who is looking through this site, that I myself (Philip Edward Holland) was born at the Post Office, Knightwick. This house has formed the central focus for many of my family and relations. My grandfather John William Jones and grandmother Lucy (Grubham) Jones came here with their children Frank, Reg. Roly and Doris (my mum). All the boys married and left here. My mum also married and left but when her mother, Lucy, died mum and dad came back to run the Post Office. While Grandpa married again to Mary Doman, a very close fried of the family!

It is here in the garden of the Post Office that many of the photographs I have of the family were taken. As was the one of my Uncle Reg top left.
