Here is a lovely photograph of James Grubham and his wife Emily (Mason) Grubham. They are outside his Father and Mother's House "The Laurels" at the top of Ankerdine Hill, Knightwick, Worcestershire.

 

James Grubham, seen here wearing a Postman's uniform. Uncle Jim was also a cobbler by trade.

James (Jim) Grubham, was the fourth child of Philip and Eliza Grubham.
Jim was born, 28th February, 1881 and baptised 29th March, 1881, at Knightwick Church, Worcestershire (by, Octavius Fox). He married Emily Mason on the 26th June, 1912, at Monkland, Nr. Leominster, Herefordshire. He died, on the 27th December 1958 (aged 77 years) and was buried at Knightwick on the 30th December. Rector, Oliver Davies.
Emily was born 20th August, 1885. She died two years after her husband James, on the 4th February 1960 (aged 75) and was buried at Knightwick on the 6th February. Rector, Oliver Davies.
Jim and Emily lived at Goldhill, Doddenham, Worcestershire.
Jim's aunty, Fanny Berry was living at Gold Hill when she died in 1939 (aged 91). She was buried at Knightwick on the 6th February, 1939, Rector, J. R. Burns.

This photograph shows my Uncle Jim and Auntie Emily in their later years. Most likely this photograph was taken in the 1950's. I can just remember them both.
