BRIDEGROOM FROM NORWAY
(Extract from the Worcester Evening News)
The wedding took place at Knightwick on Saturday, of Miss Josephine Lucy Holland, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Holland of the Post Office, Knightwick, and Mr. Gunvald Magne Stenersen, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Stenersen, from Norway. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a full-length princes dress of white georgette. The train which hung from the waist was attached with guipure lace. Her head-dress was a white satin band with a shoulder-length veil. She carried a hand spray of yellow and red tinted rose buds and stephanotis. In attendance was Miss Geraldine Chaplin, friend of the bride, who wore a Grecian dress of sea green georgette, with gloves and shoes to match. Her head-dress was a shaded yellow rose, and she carried a crescent bouquet of shaded yellow rose buds and stephanotis. The best man was Mr. Bjørn Stenersen, brother of the bridegroom, and ushers' were Messrs, G. J. Holland and P. E. Holland, brothers of the bride. The bride's mother wore a navy blue lace dress and coat with pink accessories, and the bridegroom's mother wore her Norwegian national costume. After a choral ceremony, conducted by the Rev. Oliver Davies, with Miss M. Walker at the organ, a reception followed for 80 guests at the Coronation Hall, Whitbourne. A guard of honour was arranged at the church by the first Knightsford Bridge Girl Guides. The bride was a former lieutenant of the company. The couple, who are spending their honeymoon touring Wales, will make their future home in Denmark, where the bride is an English teacher.
