Gunvald and Josephines house in Denmar

Josephine (Holland) Stenersen, holding her son, Jan Edward Stenersen. Standing behind is her father-in-law, Birger Stenersen and sitting beside her are her parents, Doris Eliza (Jones) Holland and John Edward Holland. Both grandparents were on holiday in Denmark. Birger and his wife Ester had come down from Øverbygd, high up in arctic Norway. While Doris and Ted had come from the Post Office, in Knightwick, Worcestershire, England. (Photo:July 1968)

Ted Holland with his grandson Jan Stenersen, at Knightwick Post Office

Graham and Josephine aslo came as often as they could to see our parents and here in the photo is their first son Jan with his grandfather Ted Holland.

Dad kept a beautiful garden, the flowers certainly look nice in this photograph. In the distance is the footbridge over the River Teme. The footbridge replaced the road bridge which used to be the route all traffic took, along the A40 Worcester to Hereford road. After the by-pass was built it took a lot of the passing trade away from the Post Office which my mum ran.

Out of sight and to the right is the Talbot Hotel.
