Their grave stone at St Luke's, Ullingswick, Herefordshire.

The words written on the stone are:-

"In Loving Memory of Elizabeth, the Beloved Wife of Nathaniel Bayliss, who died April 4th, 1909, aged 57 years. Thy will be done. Also of Nathaniel Bayliss. Late of the Pullen Farm. Who died January 13th, 1922, aged 75 years."

 

Bromyard Police Cases. 10th August, 1918.
At Bromyard Police Court on Tuesday before Mr. H. J. Bailey (Chairman), Sir Richard Harington, Bart., and Mr. W. A. Guess.

Hubert Baker, a youth, of Ullingswick, was charged with killing three chickens, the property of Nathaniel Bayliss, farmer, of Ullingswick, on July 12th. P.C. Edge stated that defendant admitted to him that he killed the three chickens, but there was no corroborative evidence as to this, and the case was dismissed. —Robert Baker, aged 13, brother of the last defendant, was similarly charged with maiming two ducks, the property of Nathaniel Bayliss. P.C. Prosser stated that defendant admitted having committed the offence, but as there was no corroborative evidence this case was also dismissed, though the Chairman said there was a grave suspicion.
