May 20, 1892, examination pass.

Really nice to have these certificates, all
of which are in the Knightwick & Doddenham, C.E. School, 1888, Black Box. [Many thanks to Adrian and Karin Dunn]
This box is kept safe for posperity, by the owners of Knightwick School, Adrian and Karin Dunn, who kindly invited me to look through the records and to take photos, 27-09-2022.

This certificate would have been awarded to pupils for an examination of a certain standard of education, by Her Majesty's Inspector and signed by the Head Mistress at that time.

I love the design, at the bottom there are several examples of education. I think the one with Pyramids is meant for Mathtematics and Geometry. The second one has a globe of the the World, or perhaps it shows an Armillary Sphere [Objects in the sky, consisting of a spherical framework of rings, centred on the Earth or the Sun, that represent lines of celestial longitude and latitude and other astronomically important features] both can be used for where the different countries, and our star systems are found. So Geography, Astrology and Science, could be depicted here. The last one definately depicts Chemistry and possibly Physics.

In the bottom left the coat of arms has, Dieu et mon droit [God and my right - the motto of the british monarch]

Also around the shield of the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom is, Honi soit qui mal i pense [Shamed be whoever thinks ill of it] or [Shame on anyone who thiks evil of it] It is the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter, the highest of all British Knighthoods, except in Scotland.

Could the plants depicted represent the Tree of Life, and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?

Everything written by me are either true facts, or my own thoughts on what is represented on this certificate.
