May 20, 1892, examination and attendance pass.

Really nice to have these certificates, all
of which are in the Knightwick & Doddenham, C.E. School, 1888, Black Box. [Many thanks to Adrian and Karin Dunn]
This box is kept safe for posperity, by the owners of Knightwick School, Adrian and Karin Dunn, who kindly invited me to look through the records and to take photos, 27-09-2022.

This certificate would have been awarded to pupils who had attended a certain amount of times and also for an examination of a certain standard of education., by Her Majesty's Inspector and signed by the Head Mistress at that time.

On the left Jesus is depicted in the midst of the doctors.

From the King James Bible, "And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions." Many other versions of this story use the word teachers instead of doctors, which in this instance could possibly be more appropriate.

I think the scene at the top of the certificate, is from the King James Bible, Mark 10:13-16.

13: And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them, and his diciples rebuked those that brought them.

14: But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of God.

15: Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therin.

16: And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
