Talbot Hotel & Ankerdine Hill, 1910.

A great photo of the Talbot at Knightwick 1910, (Many thanks to Major [Retd] Janet Brodie-Murphy) taken from just below the river Teme bridge.

I don't expect many people have seen this one before, the hedge has topiary, so someone loved cutting it to this shape. One person is lent against an outside table talking to a man who is standing outside the doors to the hotel. Above where they are, is a gigantic sign saying 'Lewis Clarke & CÂș's Ales'.

The AA box that used to be where the hedge starts, the other side of the steps on the corner of the hotel, is not in this photo.

On top of Ankerdine Hill can clearly be seen the 'knob' where picnickers used to go.
