Birmingham Angling Club

Photograph/card (Many thanks to Keith Boulton) This is a great card it shows the anglers from the Birmingham Anglers Association, in coaches registered in Birmingham, lined up for a photograph, taken in the field, by the side of the river Teme, at Knightwick [Now the Talbot Hotel car park]
. The BAA had large stretches of water along the Teme then.

I don't think they own this stretch any longer, but they do have a stretch of river still at Doddenham Hall and the parking for that is in the little lay-by alongside Landymore wood.

Today, Kinver Freeliners Angling Club have a stretch from Knightwick Bridge, downstream passed Osebury Rock and on to Banner's Brook.

The railings behind them in the photograph are still there today. The man with a cap on and kneeling near the centre, reminded me of Alan Morris, who lived in the farm house, directly behind them.

HA on the coach number plate is a Dudley registration and if I am right these numbers were from the 1930's to the 1960's
