The following is as best the wording of the above document, 20th March, 1902, signed with the mark of John Roberts.
Its a facinating insight into the grandfather of Raymond Roberts.

Purpose invested in them by the Settled Land Acts 1882 to 1890 and of all other powers them hereunto enabling hereby convey and confirm unto the said John Roberts xxxx piece or parcel of land situate and being in the parish of Llysfaen in the County of Carnarvon (detached) being part of lands which were enclosed and allotted under the Marian Llysfaen Award dated the fifteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and seventy one carried out under the General Enclosure Act bounded on the North side thereof by a road twenty four feet wide on the South side thereof by property belonging to the Coed Coch Estate on the East side thereof by land belonging to Cefn Castell Estate and on the West side thereof by property belonging to the said John Roberts and called Lechan which said piece or parcel of land contains by admeasurement two roods and one perch or thereabouts and which is more particularly delineated and described in the map or plan drawn hereon and thereon coloured pink Except and Reserving unto the said Robert Watkin Williams Wynn and Anne Gwendolyn Brodrick their successors in the title and assigns the owners and occupiers of the lands and hereditaments lying to the South of the piece or parcel of land hereby conveyed. Full and free right and liberty at all times hereafter by day or by night and for all purposes with or without horse carts carriages or wagons laden or unladen to go to pass and repass and to drive cattle sheep and other animals along over and upon the piece of land nine feet wide delineated on the said plan and thereon coloured brown xxxx the same except reserved as aforesaid and subject to the reservation the Crown of all mines minerals stone and other substrata therein or thereunder together with full power to enter and work them without paying compensation for any damage to the surface which might thereby be done such compensation being payable by the owners of the respective allotments on a scale set out in the said award and subject also to such other reservations and liabilities as the said piece or parcel of land may be subject to under any Inclosure Act or the said award and subject also to all outgoings and incidents of tenure rights of way water drainage and other easements if any affecting the same or any part thereof unto and to the use of the said John Roberts fee simple xxxx the said Robert Watkin Williams Wynn and Anne Gwendolyn Brodrick hereby acknowledge the right of the said John Roberts to production of the documents mentioned in the schedule hereto and to delivery of copier thereof that it is hereby declared and certified that the transaction or of a series of transactions in respect of which the amount or value or the aggregate amount or value of the consideration exceeds five hundred pounds xxxx whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first before written.

1875 February 4th The hereinbefore recited Indenture of this date.
1891 April 30th Indenture of this date made between William Melmlouth Walters and Radcliffe Walters of the one part and Constantine Caridi Read and Peter Thomson of the other part.
1894 May 18th The hereinbefore recited Indenture of this date.
1899 November 17th The hereinbefore recited Indenture of this date.
1902 March 20th The hereinbefore recited Indenture of this date.

Signed sealed and delivered by the said Ann Gwendolyn Brodrick in the presence of Henry Pratt, Coed Coch Aluyele, Butler to Hon. Mrs Brodrick.

Signed sealed and delivered by the said John Roberts, I having first truly and audibly read over to him the contents of the above written deed when he appeared to understand the same and made his mark hereto in my presence John Ellis Jones, Brynfarigh Genol Abeyche, Farmer.
