Chancel east stained glass window by Clayton & Bell, "In loving memory of Sarah Garbett, died March 20th 1868." At the top of the window is the Blessed Virgin Mary & Child with the word EMMANUEL "God with us" underneath them. Then the abbreviation, INRI "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" and below this Jesus on the Cross, with the the word AGNUS DEI "Lamb of God" below Him.
Emmanuel - "The name given to Christ as the deliverer of Judah prophesied by Isaiah."
The left window has the words - "John came preaching in the wilderness saying, Repent ye for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."
Matthew 3:1-6 "In those days John the baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight."
The Right window has the words - "And looking upon Jesus he said, Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the Sins of the World."
Matthew 3:13–17
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is He of whom I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.' "
