My Uncle Frank and Aunty Amy's house above their garage in Broadwas. Frank had the panels changed a couple of times that I can remember to but the old oak beams still managed to let the damp through. Behind the house was a small building which was used as the kitchen and eating area for most of the working day. All this has gone now and a new building stands in its place. I spent lots of time there because the school was opposite and so my aunty would always make sure that when I arrived in the mornings on the Midland Red bus I that I crossed the road safely and then again at the end of the day; as I would stay there until it was time to catch the bus back home to Knightwick.
