In the photograph is, John Greswolde-Williams, Sheriff of Worcester, standing on the steps of the Shirehall, Worcester. The year he became Sheriff was 1937, aged 62.
Unfortunately I do not know the names of the other people standing either side of him.
He was the nephew of, John Francis Greswolde-Williams, who had the School and Alms Houses built, on Ankerdine Hill, at Knightwick. When his uncle died all the estate went to his elder brother, Francis Wigley Greswolde Greswolde-Williams. His brother Francis died 2nd July, 1931[aged 57] and so in this photo he would have now now owned some of that estate.
