The Revd. Jeremiah Newell, d.1803, Vicar of the Parish, on a panel carved in a casket shape, with outward slanting sides, thin shelf above, feet below. [church above] It was noted that his monument, and this almost black panel would be the grave marker - noting seven children who died from 1788 to 1800, four in the one year. [perhaps this was small pox!]

WILL
It is the Will and desire of the Revd. Jeremiah Newell of Great Missenden in the county of Buckingham that my wife Anne Newell should have after erisa settlement the whole of his personal property consisting of his household furniture books etc. and also the whole of the property belonging to him now and bestow my government security at the bank of England and this was sensibly assented to by the aforesaid stood for the Will and the reading and signatures of the undersign's persons on the 17. 1803 the above is the last will and testament of Revd. Jeremiah Newell - Sarah Ferron - Elizabeth Cox - Hannah Crockett - Jas Ramsey.

On the twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three administration with the will annexed of the goods chattels and credits of the will of the vicar Great Missenden in the county of Buckinghamshire was granted to Ann Newell widow the right and universal signage named in the said will.
