Photograph/card (Many thanks to Keith Boulton) showing a view of the the Talbot Hotel at Knightwick. I love this scene as there are lots of people in it, giving examples of the clothing worn during that period.

 

There is a weighing machine outside the doorway to the Lounge. The closest example I could find, was this Australian one. I find it interesting, perhaps all pub goers should weigh themselves, on way in and way out!! I imagine that it was another source of income for the Hotel.
