Here is a postcard of Ankerdine House, Knightwick. Behind the house can be seen the top of the Hop Kilns, where all the hops were dried before being pressed in to Hop Pockets. Beyond the farm house is Ankerdine Hill. When I was a young boy, my friend was Peter Walker, the son of Henry and Edith Walker, who owned Ankerdine Farm. We spent hours together playing games around the farm buildings. I always remember being given honey on the comb direct from the Bee Hives which Henry kept and looked after, wonderful.
