Aerial photo of Holly Trinity Church at Calverhall.

In this aerial photo of Holly Trinity Church at Calverhall, the light coloured stone in front of the first bush is the gravestone of Thomas Lloyd and Lizzie Jones, two of John and Catherine Jones' children. The grave stone slightly further away to the left of this one is that of another of their children, Arthur Thomas Jone; and also John and Catherine Jones [my great great grandparents].

Calverhall

Recorded in Domesday Book as Cavra halle. The name means Calves nook (or corner) from Anglo Saxon cealfra hale.

The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It was built in the 1870s and contains a stained- glass window by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.
