Here my Grandfather is in his Royal Flying Corps uniform, with his Corporal stripes clear to see.

My grandfather enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps on the 11th August 1916, his number was - 42974. My mum would have been 7 years old and there address at time of enlisting was, Mayville, Lyefield Road East, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham.
