A photograph of the Grubham and Flowers. I like the idea that this is September 1924 (only a year before Nathaniel Flowers died). I have no way of knowing for sure. What I do know is that Nathaniel had two sons Rowland and Claude from his first marriage, This is his younger son Claude R. Flowers who married Lydia Fox, in Dudley (September qtr 1924). The lady sat by them is most likely Martha A Flowers (Nathaniel's mother and Claude's grandmother, she died in 1932 aged 82). In the centre is my great grandfather Philip Grubham (standing in the doorway of his house the Laurels, Ankerdine Hill). Nathaniel Flowers is standing behind his second wife Esther Elizabeth (Grubham) Flowers and sitting beside Esther is her aunty, Fanny Berry. Her sister Eliza (Berry) Grubham (Philips wife and my great grandmother) died on, 7th January, 1923 (Aged 72 years). So as she is not in photo I feel sure that I am right about this information.

Also Claude's brother Rowland S. Flowers married Gertrude A. Emery, in Dudley (September qtr 1924).
