This document was from a local census of the area of Knightwick. Darby's Common is situated above the A40 from Knightwick Post Office, where I was born, on towards Banners Brook. This local census document was a great thing to find as it has helped with confirming information I already had and also in providing some new information too. The document shows William and Phoebe (Rawlins) Morris and family. Phoebe came from Martley and they married on the 28th October 1877 when they were aged 23 and 20 years old. He was a son of Susan Morris (his father was John) who works for Knowles as a day-labourer. She is the sister of Rebecca Holmes There children:- Mercy Morris, born 30th August, 1878. Allen Morris, born 18th February, 1881. Myra Morris, born 12th June, 1883. (not shown on any other census until 1911) Myra Morris is buried at Knightwick Church. The stone reads: Selina Morris, born 21st January, 1886. |
