CENSUS INDEX
MARRIAGE INDEX

This document was from a local census of the area of Knightwick.

Darby's Common is situated above the A40 from Knightwick Post Office, where I was born, on towards Banners Brook.

This local census document was a great thing to find as it has helped with confirming information I already had and also in providing some new information too.

The document shows Susan to be the widow of John Morris who died May, 1879, aged between 62 and 67 years old. It explains how John had been a constant visitor to Worcester Infirmary for the last 20 years. They had 9 children; 5 of which died in infancy.

This left the four below:-

Their first child Mary Ann Morris was born in 1848. She married W. Lewis in July 1875 and he lived at the time at Little Park Street, Worcester and he worked for R. L. Smith with Dray.

William Morris was born in 1854 and married Phobe Rawlings on the 25th October 1877. She worked at Knowles, Worcester. They also lived on Darby's Common.

John Morris was born in 1851 and married Alice Winders (from Cotheridge) at St Martins, Worcester on 12th June 1887. He worked as a day labourer for Bishop the Gamekeeper. They are on the 1891 Census with his brother Willam and family.

Emily Morris was born in 1856 and was in Service.
