Kirkesnesmoen Chapel (Norwegian: Kirkesnesmoen kapell) is a parish church in the municipality of Målselv in Troms county, Norway. It is located along the Målselva river about halfway between the villages of Bardufoss and Skjold. The church is part of the Øverbygd parish in the Indre Troms deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The 220-seat, white, wooden church was built in 1975.

The funeral service was held at Kirkesnesmoen Chapel, as work was being carried out in Øverbygd Church. After the service, Ester was taken to the church at Øverbygd, where she was buried along side her late husband, Birger Stenersen.

After the buriel, the family invited everyone for refreshments at the old Folk Museum at Øverbygd, which also include the old school house that Gunvald used to attend, when he was a young boy. This along with some other old buildings now make up a small museum of buildings and they can be used for venues such as this.
