This photograph of Knightwick was taken from either Woodbine Cottage, where my great-uncle Harry and great-aunt Alice lived, or from the gardens of the then Doctor's house. My great Uncle and Aunt lived at Woodbine Cottage from at the least between 1921 when the church records showed their second daughter Ada Grubham Born: 13th March 1921; and 1925 where I found a letter posted to them at that address. Harry's occupation was Postman and you can see the Post Office in the distance on the other side of the bridge. This was the old Knightwick bridge and was later replaced by a footbridge when the bypass was completed in 1958. Also the Talbot Hotel can be seen along with Knightwick School, the Alms Houses and the Nurses House. The Post Office was run by my Grandfather John William Jones and his daughter Doris (Jones) Holland took over from him.
