Attempted Rape.
James Crump (17), labourer, indicted for attempting to commit a rape on Sarah Harris, aged nine
years, at Doddenham, on July 28th, was sent to gaol for six months' hard labour. Mr. Gresham
Wells prosecuted; prisoner was not defended by council.

The family left the Parish in 1883.
