Here are Doris & Mabel with Lucy (Grubham) Jones. Their aunty Lucy was married to their mother's brother John William Jones, who at this time was the sub-postmaster at Knightwick Post Office. John & Lucy looked after Doris & Mabel (Probably after the death of their father, and to help out their mother who would have been struggling on her own with three girls) Their eldest sister Norah stayed with her mother, who later married again. Doris & Mabel both lived at the Post Office, Knightwick, with their uncle and aunty until they married their respective spouses. [John & Lucy Jones were my grandparents] Photograph Ai from Black & White.

Sitting on the left is my great grandfather, Philip Grubham. The three girls on right are Doris Hayward, her elder sister Mabel Hayward and their cousin Doris Jones. The photo I think was taken circa. 1929. Doris Hayward was born in 1921, Mabel Hayward in 1917 and Doris Jones in 1909. Doris Hayward married Benjamin Bayliss (14th January 1950), Mabel Hayward married Sidney Ganderton (14th February 1942) and
*
Doris Jones married John Edward Holland (16th April 1938). On the far side of table in a suite is Bowden Wooton, who married Esther Grubham (15th June 1929), who is sat next to him. So this may have been their wedding day! photo Ai taken at the Laurels the home of my great grandfather Philip Grubham. This house is on the brow of Ankerdine Hill, Knightwick, Worcestershire.

Here is a photo of Norah with *Doris Eliza Jones, her cousin. photo Ai
